Savings

Studies show 20-40% of your home's heating and cooling money go right out the door due to leaky ducts. Sealing your ducts is a quick and easy way to save money, and increase efficiency. The best part is the project pays for itself in as little as 3 years.

Home comfort

In many homes, some rooms are farther from the furnace than others and as a result are consistently cold in the winter or hot in the summer. One reason for this is too little air gets to the room, and another is the air mixes with unconditioned air because of leaks before getting to the room.

Aeroseal can fix both of these problem. Sealing the ducts will increase the air that is able to get to all of your rooms by eliminating leaks. Eliminating leaks also means unconditioned air wont have a chance to mix with conditioned air before getting to rooms as well.

Healthy living

Have you installed a filter on your HVAC but still have allergies or notice dust from the supply vents? We call this dust creep,  that's when ducts are taking in dust, allergens and pollutants before supplying your air into the home, worsening allergies and causing dustier homes. Aeroseal can put a stop to dust creep.

The process

When we arrive for a sealing appointment, we start by plugging all supply and return vents. We also connect to your supply and return near the furnace. At this point we do an initial test to help you understand where your home is at.  Typical leakage can be from 300 -600 CFM for a 1500 square foot home.

Once we do the first test, then we start sealing using the Aeroseal technology. This step typically takes 40 minutes to 1 hour.

Lastly we do a post test and give you the certificate of completion detailing the before and after duct leakage as well as qualifying as a duct blast test if needed for a remodel project.

The Technology

Aeroseal is made of a poly-vinyl acetate (PVA), chemically similar to non-toxic Elmer's glue, which is also a PVA glue. Our sealant is UL listed for duct sealing, is non toxic, and does not give off an odor after application.
